“THE POWER OF YOU: DRESSING FOR YOUR SUCCESS”
You cannot NOT communicate, even if you haven’t opened your mouth! Your image is continually at work communicating to yourself and others. Our external image can open or close doors and impact whether or not we reach our goals. In other words, your image can work for you or against you in building your credibility and career as a professional.
In this seminar, we will explore the topic of image management and how our appearance affects how we act, feel, and think, as well as how others respond to us. Learn about “image breakers” and what to wear to have the greatest impact and credibility in whatever career path you have chosen. Learn strategies for:
• Auditing your image
• Using a tool called “The Style Scale” to help you dress for your success
• Developing a plan to take your image “up a notch”
• Building a “smart” wardrobe.
Length: 1.0 – 2.0 hours
“RESCUE MY CLOSET!”
Based on Janise’s book, “Closet Rescue”, this seminar is an answer to the age-old cry, “Help, I Have Nothing to Wear!” How would you like to create a closet full of clothes you can love? Learn how to edit & sort your current wardrobe, and learn absolutely amazing strategies for putting together an affordable, attractive wardrobe that will work for all of the aspects of your life.
“LOVING & DRESSING THE BODY YOU ARE CURRENTLY IN”
Diversity makes the world rich, textural … like different flowers, trees and animals. We need all shapes, colors, and sizes. Your body is begging to be adorned beautifully right now. Don’t delay the pleasure of looking and feeling great in clothes until you get that body you’ve always dreamt of having because it may never happen. Depriving yourself only leads to depression. This seminar is about honouring your distinctiveness and learning how to dress the body you currently have so you can feel and look delicious.
Getting older is inevitable but looking old is optional. In this seminar, you will learn how to avoid looking “frumpy”, how to dress appropriately for your age without looking silly or like you are trying too hard, and applying cosmetics to help you look fresher and younger.
“CASUAL FRIDAY FABULOUS!”
I am personally appalled by what passes as acceptable for Casual Fridays in Calgary. Casual Fridays originally meant that men could wear sports jackets, instead of a suit. Today Casual Friday has become “Sloppy Friday” with employees wearing ragged jeans, cargo pants or shorts, flip flops or “Crocs”, T-shirts, spaghetti strap or cleavage-baring tops, and other inappropriate wear.
In this “Lunch n’ Learn”, we will discuss the benefits of a professional image and what works & what doesn’t when it comes to dressing more casually for Fridays. We will also discuss possible outfit ideas including dark wash jeans and trendy jackets, and other great ideas. I can bring physical clothing to show as examples or provide a Powerpoint slide presentation based on your venue. Length: 45 minutes
NOTE: All presentations can be customized to meet your audience's needs. Please EMAIL me if you are looking for an image-related presentation but don't see exactly what you want here.
